Dayton, NV—Instead of completing laps as in other races on the Best in the Desert schedule, the BITD Vegas to Reno is a brutal point-to-point marathon that starts just outside Las Vegas and finishes approximately 550 miles north near Carson City. The long format allows competitors to chip away at race leaders.Consistency and minimizing mechanical issues are key to winning.  Teams that survive the relentless marathon of loose rocks, silt, blinding dust and punishing terrain succeed. The scorching temps in the Nevada desert made this year's “The Longest Off-Road Race in the United States” a serious test of grit for both race teams and vehicles.

Despite the hot, brutal marathon, Weddle-equipped cars earned spots on the podium in multiple classes.Class 1/2-1600 warrior Christy Sizelove grinded out the class win in Weddle Racing Gears-equipped 2050. In Class 10, Weddle-equipped cars snagged two out of the top three spots with Christian Fessler taking second in Albins AGB-equipped 1003 and Matt Rusich taking third in Weddle S5-equipped 1045. Two Albins AGB-equipped cars also snagged two spots on the Class 5 Unlimited podium with 5072 Dustin Grabowski taking second and 5001 Travis Chase in third. More Class podiums include Jeff Proctor earning the Class 7200 second place in the Albins ST6-equipped 7209 Honda Ridgeline and UTV Pro charger Kolton Hustead taking class second in Weddle UTV Race Prepped 1938.

AGBs sweep Class 1500 podium.The grueling Vegas to Reno marathon proved once again why Albins AGB transaxles have set the bar in 1500 Unlimited. 1527 CJ Hutchins not only topped the class, but finished second overall. 1532 Cody Parkhouse took second in class and 1583 Bill Wingerning took the 1500 third spot.
