Reno, NV – Billed as “The Longest Race in the United States”, the General Tire Vegas to Reno is unique to all other races in BITD’s season. The V2R is a brutal marathon starting just outside of Las Vegas and ending 545 miles away in Reno. The annual race has a reputation for being a relentless test of loose rocks, silt, blinding dust and punishing terrain. Consistency is the key to success at the Vegas to Reno. The long format allows competitors to chip away at race leaders.
Consistency in Class 1500 at V2R is Jon Walker’s strength. For the third straight year, Walker has battled his way onto the podium. This year, Walker took the top spot in Class 1500 in Albins AGB-equipped car 1589, a repeat of his 2015 win.

Class 10 has been highly competitive in BITD this season. 1047 Jared Teague managed to put thirty minutes between his Mendeola S5-equipped AlumiCraft vehicle and the car behind him to take the Class 10 win.
Jeff Proctor and the Honda Ridgeline crew had all their hard work pay off in Class 7200. Proctor built up a slight lead by Pit 10 and handed the driving duties of the Albins ST6-equipped Ridgeline over to Honda Senior Manager of PR and race tested driver, Sage Marie. Pushing to increase the lead time, the Honda truck ran into trouble after Pit 14 and ended up on its side. Fortunately, quick action by the Honda crew managed to get the Ridgeline back on its wheels in time to snag third place in Class 7200
