Johnson Valley, CA —  It was sunny blue skies over the Johnson Valley as race teams converged on September 23 for the MORE PCI 300. Class 1600 racers were in for an additional treat. The Weddle Sweet 16 Shootout, third and final special event of the 2023 Weddle Shootout Series, was set to go down.

Cole Hardin 2023 Weddle Sweet 16 Shootout Champion. MORE's Cody Jeffers re-mixed the format of Weddle Sweet 16 Shootout this year. The race consisted of two parts: a day race plus a night race with racers competing for the best combined time. When the dust settled, it was 1679 Cole Hardin on top of the Weddle Sweet 16 Shootout podium. 1623 Justin Cockrell took second and 1622 Tim Craig finished third.

Four wins for Weddle-equipped teams. The sun was shining for Weddle-equipped teams at the PCI 300. Eric Hardin finished first in Unlimited Truck piloting Albins ST6-equipped truck 79. In class 5U, Darrell Clifton took the win driving Weddle S5-equipped 525. 932 Jacob Wisdom finished first in Class 9 and 1157 Blake Wilkey finished on top Class 11.
