Decrease critical rotating mass. Weddle Industries now offers a 7075-T6 billet aluminum differential kit for the Weddle HV1 Transaxle or any of the MD series of Mendeola transaxles. This upgrade kit is a full 60% lighter than the parts it replaces. That’s an amazing 6.5 pound decrease in critical rotating mass. This diff has some very nice features, such as bronze sleeves in the sidegear bores, a reinforcing plate to help distribute the clamping force of the ring gear bolts, and a reduced indexing diameter on the diff cover to move the stress loads away from the flange on the diff housing.
