Robby Gordon crushes the Baja 500

Ensenada, Mexico - After controversy in Parker, Robby Gordon's no. 77 SPEED Energy/Toyo Tires Trophy Truck equipped with the new Albins ST6-i was first again to cross the finish line. This time, however, Gordon was the undeniable winner.

Robby's unmissable orange Trophy Truck started first off the line in Ensenada Mexico at 10:30am. Second position starter Jason Voss was able to pass Robby after Gordon spun out on his way out of town. Later on, RG was able to make up for lost ground and regain his lead over Voss. After 10 hours and 501 miles of brutal  Baja racing, Gordon arrived back in Ensenada Mexico for a dominating finish to win the 45th annual SCORE Tecate Baja 500

In an effort to reduce drag, the ST6-i features roller-bearings and straight-cut, profile-ground gears that are shot peened and isotropic polished. The ST6-i Trophy Truck version has extra-wide, heavy duty drop gears. Two possible heights for power input adds versatility and makes low engine mounting possible. The Albins ST6-i with torque converter is a rock solid, highly efficient alternative to the standard 3-speed automatic trans currently used in most Trophy Trucks.
