Another Albins AGB Class 1500 Sweep at the Silver State 300

Alamo, Nevada—The Silver State 300 was back after a few years absent from the BITD schedule. The Silver State is a 300-mile point to point race, starting just north of Alamo, Nevada. Thursday’s qualifying consisted of two runs on a  1.75 mile loop. The main event is run on a very fast course that makes starting position crucial. CJ Hutchins finished the qualifying loops in 4 minutes and 6 seconds, giving him the top starting position in Class 1500.

Saturday’s main event was fast and furious. Pat Dean was first over the finish line in Class 1500 in Albins AGB-equipped 1575, but in the end  Ladd Gilbert was given the win on corrected time. Gilbert, in AGB-equipped car 1562, bested Dean by almost 5 minutes to take the top spot on the Class 1500 podium. Dean would take second. 1542 Mike Baldi battled his way up from the back to take third in class driving yet another Albins AGB-equipped car.

The Silver State 300 was the second  Albins AGB podium sweep in BITD Class 1500 this season. It was another great race for Weddle-equipped cars.
