Product News
Product development is a continuous process at Weddle Industries. Our design team is constantly searching for ways to make things stronger, function better or easier to install.
Like its VW predecessors, it's mandatory for Weddle MD transaxles to have the shaft alignment checked and the shift forks adjusted prior to final assembly. To do this properly, a shift jig that exactly mimics the transaxle main case is required to provide visibility and room to work. The Weddle MD-707 Shift Jig is compatible with Weddle MD gearboxes using the Weddle MD-610HD case and MD-402HD pinion bearing carrier that use shims to adjust pinion depth.
The MD-706 shift jig is for earlier MD transaxles that do not use shims to set pinion depth. Shims are the major difference between the Weddle HD case/collar versus the earlier versions. The Weddle MD-706 Jig will be available late September 2026.

Available as a kit, the Weddle MD Shift Jig components are made from pre-hardened 4140 steel for strength and longevity. The base plate is Blanchard ground for accuracy. The kit includes pins for both early and late reverse gears. All hardware is included with kit.
Applications: Weddle MD4E/MD4-2D/MD5 trans with Weddle MD-610HD main case
