The Ultimate 091 Bus Transaxle. The VW 091 Bus trans can be surprisingly tough when properly built with quality high performance components. If chassis layout or race rules dictate a Type 2 transaxle, we’ve got you covered.
An all out high performance 091 transaxle with Weddle extreme duty upgrades will run from approximately $3000-$5500 depending on options and configuration. Although Weddle Industries no longer builds or sells complete VW 091 transaxles, call 805 562 8600 to find your local transaxle professional who builds with quality Weddle parts.
Tech Tip: For many high performance applications, the 1984 and later VW Vanagon (094) transaxle has serious advantages over the 091 Bus transaxle. Learn more.
