Tech Tip: Though the axle tubes by themselves are the same for years 1961-1968, there are variations in end castings. Year '61-'66 axle tubes use the "short" end castings. Year ’67 axle tubes have end castings specific to that model year and use the '61-'66 4-bolt cap. Year ’68 axle tubes use end castings specific to that model year and use the late “A” style cap.
