'72+ VW TYPE 2 INPUT SHAFT, LONG SNOUT (298MM OVERALL LENGTH), AFTERMARKET. NOTE: THE LONG SNOUT INPUT SHAFT IS FOR VEHICLES WITH VW TYPE 4 OR WATERBOXER ENGINES ONLY.
This is a long snout input shaft, designed for vehicles with VW Type 4 engines where the pilot bearing is located in the end of the crankshaft.
Caution: This input shaft should only be used with VW Type 4 engines. The longer snout may bottom out in the crankshaft and cause failure if used with other types of engines.
Applications:
'72-'79 VW Type 2, '80-'83 Vanagon (Air Cooled), '84+ Vanagon (Waterboxer). Suitable for vehicles with VW Type 4 or Waterboxer engine only.
