Palmdale, CA — At first glance, Mike Ruane's Porsche might appear as another 914 project, but a peek under the hood tells a completely different story. Instead of the flat 4 or flat 6-cylinder engine commonly found in a 914, Mike’s car packs a hefty Danzio Performance Chevy LS3. To get that horsepower to the ground, Mike’s pumped up 914 is equipped with a Weddle HV25 transaxle. Exciting? Scary? We agree to both.

Weddle HV Transaxles are synchronized, “H” pattern units utilizing 27mm wide forward gears. All gears are ground after heat treat for smooth, quiet operation. Other features include a 10” spiral bevel R&P set, multi-cone 2nd gear synchro, precision ground pinion bearing retainer, tapered roller bearing on shafts to handle end thrust, and a mid-plate between 2nd and 3rd gears. Options include a Torque Biasing differential, as well as an internal oil pump and oil distribution system. Available for both mid or rear engine applications needing a transaxle capable of handling high HP vehicles on road or off.
