Barstow, CA — Mother nature had other plans for the MORE season opener. California's wild winter pushed the event back a week from its original date, but that didn't stop race teams descending upon the Slash X Ranch on a windy March 4 to kick off the 2023 MORE race season.

Brandon Heald Three-time Weddle Swinger's Ball Champ. 911 Brandon Heald added another trophy to his collection at the 2023 Weddle Shootout Series opener. Heald finished the top of the Class 9 podium, taking home the big Weddle Swinger's Ball First Place check, followed by 912 Dustin Gill in second and 932 Jacob Wisdom in third.
Weddle-equipped teams finish on top at Duel in the Desert. In addition to Heald's Class 9 win, Weddle-equipped teams snagged three more wins. Eric Hardin took the top spot in Unlimited Truck driving Albins ST6-equipped truck 79. In Class 11, Cisco Bio finished first and 1622 Tim Craig Class 1600 win.
The 2023 MORE season is heating up. The next 2023 Weddle Shootout Series event will be the Weddle Perfect 10 Challenge at the MORE Transaxle Engineering Challenge in Lucerne Valley, CA on April 29. With more than a month out, 9 Class 10 teams have already registered for MORE's biggest per entry payout Shootout event to date plus a huge Weddle bonus for podium finishers. Get on it.
