Modified 4x4 vehicles tackle courses in the British country side. Competitive classes range from standard production cars to purpose built vehicles of varying engine sizes. Racers are seeded and can be upgraded or downgraded in four different levels according to performance.
Advice from the States. After the disappointing engine troubles cut his 2015 AWDC season short, 2013 champ and 2014 runner up Andy Degiulio set out to upgrade his 5 liter Rover V8. Andy and his team decided to replace his 5 liter Rover engine with a 6.6 liter Chevy LS V8. The new LS also upped the power to an expected 600 hp and 550 pounds of torque.
To make sure he could get the power to the ground, Andy’s team chose a heavy duty Weddle 9” Twin Plate Clutch with an Albins hydraulic clutch release assembly. UK builder Tim Adams is currently putting the new clutch and engine in place to be ready for the 2016 season that starts in March..
