Parker, Arizona — Top racing teams once again gathered in Parker for a weekend of action at the BITD Blue Water Desert Challenge. The Blue Water Desert Challenge back-to-back race format gives the overall win to driver with the lowest combined time from two consecutive days. Back-to-back races gives teams the opportunity to make overnight adjustments after the first race day.
For the race, BITD's Casey Folks and his team created an impeccable course not only for the racers, but for the fans and photographers as well. Spectators in Parker got a great chance to witness the action up close and personal on multiple passes over the weekend.
In Class 1400 Trick Trucks,
Rob MacCachren was once again the man to beat. Rob Mac built sizable lead over Jason Voss in Saturday's race. Voss battled back and was able to win Sunday's race on time, but it was not fast enough to take the overall win from Rob Mac.
In Class 1500 Unlimited, Justin Lofton took back-to-back wins for the overall victory. On Sunday,
Mendeola S4D equipped
Chuck Hovey battled Lofton all day for the lead. In the end, Hovey missed the overall 1500 winner's spot by a mere 38 seconds to take second.
Jon Walker, in
Albins AGB equipped car number 1589, nabbed third in Class 1500 overall.
