High-quality replacement gasket. When the 4wd Vanagon low gear housing gasket went obsolete from VW in mid-2011, we promised our customers that we would make a replacement. We wanted a high quality part, so we spent the time and money to source the original VW gasket material in Germany. Once we had the correct material, we made custom dies so we could reproduce the gaskets here in the USA. While we were at it, we also made dies for the Vanagon selector shaft cover gasket (also obsolete from VW), so we could manufacture those using the same high quality material.
