Formula Drift Rookie Chris Jeanneret Hangs Tough

It's been a rough start for Chris Jeanneret in his rookie year on the Formula Drift circuit. After the misfortune of engine failures for round two in Georgia and round three in Florida, Chris sat out New Jersey to save his strength for round five at his home track in Monroe, Washington.

Unfortunately technical issues found him again. Chris suffered two broken axles after only three laps on the Sunday before the event. Chris had to go into qualifying cold, but still managed to break the top 32 with a spot at 29. He barely missed the the top 16, with only 2.5 points separating Chris and Ken Guishi. Not bad after a two year hiatus.

The following qualifying day, Chris was up against Vaughn Gitten Jr, a tough draw. At the end of the day, Chris and his team gave it their all, but the win ended up going to VGJ.

Even though Chris has had a bumpy ride this season, he's got his chin up. Chris and his team keep working hard to improve the car. One of the the success stories in Chris's arsenal has been his three-disc Weddle Racing Clutch

Chris on his clutch:
"I cant say enough how awesome it is. It's perfect. Its quick engagement and disengagement are amazing and allow for minimum pedal effort and stroke to keep me from stretching too much in the car. We have pulled the clutch three times now and seen no signs of uneven wear and or chipping. The head traces seem to be very even and the car revs super fast."

Never one to give up, Chris has his sites set on the finals at Irwindale, California this October.
