On  April 2, 2025, the U.S. government announced the imposition of tariffs under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA). Although the full implementation of these tariffs has been delayed by 90 days, a “Baseline Tariff” of 10% was imposed during this interim period. On May 3rd, the 25% tariff on imported auto parts was implemented. On June 4th, a 50% tariff on steel and aluminum took effect. These tariffs contribute to inflationary costs across the economy and global supply chains, impacting raw materials, freight, and overall production costs.

Despite our best efforts, these additional costs are too much to be absorbed. With regret, Weddle Industries has decided the best way to navigate these changes is to implement a temporary tariff surcharge. We will continue to monitor the situation. Having a simple line item surcharge will make it easier to adjust (and hopefully remove) as the situation evolves. We understand this may be an inconvenience and we want to be as transparent as possible about the reasons behind this decision.

In order to continue delivering the quality you expect, we will be implementing a tariff surcharge effective July 15th.

A 10% surcharge will appear as a separate line item on your invoice. This measure is designed to offset a portion of the additional costs.

Because of the volatile and unpredictable nature of the tariff implementation, we will re-evaluate our policy as needed due to any future changes.
