For vehicles equipped with Tremec TR-6060 & T56 gearboxes. The recently developed Albins ST6-LP-Tremec was designed to simplify the installation of a strong, sequential 6-speed transmission in applications utilizing Tremec TR-606 and T56 “H” pattern synchronized gearboxes.

The Albins ST6-LP features a “lower profile” than the original ST6 units which translates to fewer modifications needed to the existing trans tunnel for installation. The Albins ST6-LP Tremec version is designed to use existing OE bell housings and clutch packages, further simplifying the installation process. Mounts and shifter installation will require modifications and fabrication work.
 

Albins ST6 Series. Originally designed for Australia's Supercars, the strong and compact Albins ST6 Series gearboxes feature standard drop gears for quick, efficient ratio changes. The entire Albins ST6 line features profile-ground gears that are shot peened and isotropic polished. Built-in inspection ports make routine inspection easy without disassembly. Internal oil pumps are standard.

Any vehicle featuring a Tremec TR-6060 or T56 is a potential candidate for the Albins ST6-LP swap to gain the speed of a sequentially shifted transmission. This swap should be considered as a “race only” option as chassis modifications will be required for installation. A sequential trans is not emissions legal or designed for street use.

Check your vehicle’s specific model to confirm it features a Tremec TR-606 or T56. Some make/model/year applications may involve additional work for conversion to Albins ST6-LP. Please contact us for specific vehicle make/model details.
