Add clearance. The new Weddle S4/S5 Side Mount Starter Bell Housing enables a more compact trans package profile. By relocating the starter from the top to the side, additional space is created to mount items above the trans. 

In road race applications utilizing an inverted trans installation, the new S4/S5 Side Mount Starter Bell Housing provides additional ground clearance. It is optional on all Weddle S4/S5 transaxles or kits at no extra charge.

All Weddle S4/S5 bell housings are cast from A356 aluminum and heat treated to T6 condition. Recent revisions to the tooling, casting, and machining process added material to critical areas and increased space for clutch clearance.
