The Weddle Racing spider gears are made to exacting standards from a proprietary spec, fine grain vacuum-melt steel, each bar of which is ultrasound tested for internal defects prior to machining.  All Weddle Racing gears go through a special multiphase heat-treat process that greatly increases tooth strength and fatigue resistance. Finally, Weddle Racing gears are deburred and shot-peened to combat fatigue and increase gear life. In many of the hardest running vehicles in the world, Weddle Racing gears have been proven to withstand the abuse that causes other gears to fail.
