Product development is a continuous process at Weddle Industries. Our design team is constantly searching for ways to make things stronger, function better or easier to install.
Beef up your factory Arctic Cat Wildcat XX front differential. One of the common failures on these differentials is due to the factory ring gear bolts coming loose, allowing the ring gear to loosen on the diff carrier and cause excessive wear, and ultimately failure of the ring and pinion gears. The Weddle billet side cover has been specifically machined to allow clearance for higher grade Allen head bolts that are capable of a higher torque rating to prevent the ring gear bolts from coming loose. The supplied bolts are also drilled for safety wire installation for added protection if desired.
This bolt-on component instantly adds strength. Critical area’s of the factory cast side cover are thin and can allow deflection of the differential due to heavy shock loads from rough terrain, causing increased wear and tear on internal components. Machined from a solid piece of high grade billet aluminum, external ribs and thicker webbing help prevent deflection under heavy shock loads. A tighter, more precise fitment into the main housing also helps to retain the position of internal components that loosen due to thermal expansion with the factory side cover.
The side cover also features an added oil fill plug with o-ring for ease of maintenance, and retainer screws to hold the output seal in place, preventing the seal from being pushed out of position.
These components can be purchased as a kit with high grade ring gear bolts, output seal, o-ring, and plugs, or they can be purchased individually as needed.
