Barstow, CA — It was fun loops and perfect weather for the 2025 MORE season opener. Unlike the gale force winds that greeted race teams and spectators at last year's Slash X Duel in the Desert, everyone that arrived in Barstow was treated to a beautiful first day of March.

New Class 12 Weddle Shootout event. The most recent addition to the Weddle Shootout Series, The Weddle Dirty Dozen, made its debut at the MORE opener. When the dust settled, it was Chris Cummings driving Weddle MD-equipped 1246 to claim the big first place check and first Weddle Dirty Dozen Champion trophy. Close behind, Vic Bruckman took second in Weddle-equipped 1299 and 1253 Allen Byma finished third.

Brooke Perfect tops Class 1600 at Slash X Duel in the Desert. After last year's podium finish at the Weddle Sweet 16 Shootout, Brooke Perfect teamed up with her brother Ashton at this year's Duel in the Desert to take the Class 1600 win behind the wheel of Weddle-equipped 1610. 1653 Hunter Carpenter finished second in class and 1660 Bradley Ward took the Class 1600 third.

The Slash X Duel in the Desert and the Weddle Dirty Dozen were a great way to kick off the 2025 MORE season. Get ready, Class 10! The next event on the Weddle Shootout Series calendar is the Weddle Perfect 10 Challenge that will run in conjunction with the MORE Spring Shootout on May 10 in Lucerne Valley.
