Barstow, CA — March showed up like a lion for the MORE season opener on March 2. Persistent and extreme wind greeted drivers and race teams for the Slash X Duel in the Desert and Weddle Swinger's Ball. The clear visibility lead to a tight and exciting race day.

Thomas Burns is the new Weddle Swinger's Ball Champ. After three years of Brendan Heald's Class 9 dominance in the event, 2024 saw a new face holding the big Weddle Swinger's Ball first place check. After the dust settled, Thomas Burns finished with the fastest combined times to take the top spot on the Class 9 podium piloting Weddle-equipped 925. 923 Richard Finn, Jr. finished close behind in second and 954 Steve Johnson took the third spot.
Weddle-equipped teams on the Slash X podium. Along with the Class 9 Swinger's Ball results, two more Weddle-equipped teams earned top finishes at the Slash X Duel in the Desert. 1623 Justin Cockrell took the Class 1600 win and 1246 Chad Cummings earned second in Class 12.
