JW RACING: The REM Superfinishing Edge at the Tracks

Father son racing team of Jeff and Vern William at JW Racing have long known what gives their cars an edge. Jeff has racked up an impressive array of results including the 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, and 2012 Southwest Tour Truck Series Championships and the 2006, 2007 & 2011 Irwindale Speedway SWTT Division Championships in addition to over 35 wins and 60 top 5 finishes.

These results are no fluke. Jeff and Vern have put together a solid program with their number 28 NASCAR Late Model Car and their number 28 Southwest Tour Truck. In order to get their gearboxes running in top form, they treat all of their gears with REM Superfinsihing from Weddle Industries.

REM Superfinishing reduces friction and extends the life of driveline components. Weddle Industries offers complete in-house REM ISF® processing for gears, ring & pinion sets, CV joints, engine parts, and many other components. Introduced in 1965, the REM ISF or “Isotropic Superfinish” is a treatment that eliminates imperfections on metal components that are left over by the machining process.

How it works: A patented solution is used in combination with a vibratory process that removes peaks, valleys and other imperfections left over from the machining process. This results in a uniform surface. Key
benefits include:
  • Reduced friction and lower operating temperatures
  • Increased efficiency. Decreased power loss
  • Extended component life. Reduced lubrication requirements
  • No break-in period required. Less metal debris
REM ISF process gives you smoother shifts and increases your driveline’s performance, efficiency and lifespan. Don't take our word for it. Catch JW Racing in action at Irwindale, Blythe,  Kern County, The Bullring in Las Vegas and tracks all over the west coast.

Applications: gears, ring & pinion sets, CV joints, engine parts, and many other components
