WEDDLE RACING 091 DIFF COVER, FORGED CHROMOLY STEEL, HEAT TREATED, FITS ANY '76+ VW BUS OR VANAGON DIFF CARRIER WITH STOCK VW REGISTER SIZE
Heavy duty diff cover upgrade. Weddle Industries now offers a high performance differential cover for VW 091 and 094 transaxles. Unlike the stock VW cover, which is a thin wall cast iron design, the Weddle cover is machined from solid 4140 billet chromoly steel.
The sectional profile has been increased to maximize both strength and stiffness. Diff cover breakage (which can occur with the stock VW part) is entirely eliminated, and the extra stiffness provided by the Weddle cover greatly reduces axial movement of the differential assembly under extreme loads. This aids in keeping the ring & pinion gear teeth in proper mesh, which in turn helps extend the life of a highly stressed transaxle.
